Animation Course - WRAPPED
June 2026
Following the completion of our 3-year Animation BA(Hons.) Course at Edge Hill University, my classmates and I collectively agreed to host an event to showcase our final animations. In aid of this, I pitched and produced an additional animated segment to celebrate all of our hard work, inspired by the popular social media trend, ‘Spotify WRAPPED’.
Being granted full creative control, I developed 6 short segments with limited animation, each reflecting an important part of the Animation Course experience. It was paramount that these animations represented and reflected the friendships formed on the Animation Course - through shared camaraderie in group activities, to night-long work sessions, and the mutual relief of work submissions. With this in mind, I took inspiration from the Edge Hill University logo to create 3 anthropomorphised characters to represent Animation students, each design with a distinct personality, shape motif, and a pallet reflecting the University’s brand identity.
The short was aired at the ‘Animation Showcase 2026’ event in Edge Hill’s Creative Edge, to an audience of students, alumni and family, and received positively. For me, the project acted a final hurrah and neatly tied off my University experience, allowing me to slowly wind down after the busy academic year, and celebrate the friendships that I formed over the last 3 years on the course.
